This past Christmas holiday we were blessed to have my sister come in from NC.  She’s the first in our family to attend Culinary school (hints-raising chefs…not just good cooks!).  She was my first ginnea pig so to speak.  Well while she was here she hooked a sistah up with her cereal encrusted french toast stick.

tr.v. en·crust·ed, en·crust·ing, en·crusts

1. To cover or coat with or as if with a crust: tires encrusted with dried mud; legalities that were encrusted with tradition.
2. To decorate by inlaying or overlaying with a contrasting material: encrust wood paneling with ivory.
We also had her oh so good biscuits and gravey with sausage bits.  So creamy, so good even by itself.  We did the damn thang to bring in the new year RIGHT!  Soon I’ll have to post the actual recipes if she’ll let a sistah cop that!!!!  Who love it?

Welcome to my culinary journey from kitchen, to table, to blog, to book and everything in between. Having a passion for cooking, entertaining, and internet blogging this is my online journey. Kitchen spills, cooking with kids, feeding a house full, this promises to be a testimony of how I deal and enjoy the small things in life one spoon, knife and forkful at a time.
