FowlerHouse |Photos is my virtual photography portfolio. My good friend who happens to be my two-daughter’s modeling photographer gave me the best camera I’ve ever owned. After telling him about my hopes of one day building my food photography studio he asked if I already purchased my camera and I told him no because I hadn’t at that time. After my daughter’s session he just handed me a Canon 10D (body), which was fine with me. (Thanks again Photo Dave!)

With that said, my husband and I have been snapping away at everything and researching what we can. We’re very much aware that this is an older model Canon, it still produces the quality photos I want for my cookbook, so we’re fine with it. For an early Mother’s Day gift my family surprised me with two new lenses for my 10D — 70mm 300 — 50mm 1.8 which I’ve been hearing nothing but great things about. This is totally exciting. I can’t wait to start using it more…lighting has been a major issue…so we’re DIYing it!!!

Although we’re still amatures, we’re learning everyday and with the help of the internet we’ll be pros in no time. So for the most part this section of my blog will house some of the wonderful images we’ll be capturing with this wonderful gift.
